765 and 1225 preparing to leave Alma.
765 is receiving water from the local fire
department to top off its tender. They will
then back down to couple on to the
coaches full of passengers and head for
Cadillac.
The torn up turnout in the foreground
was the main to Edmore.
One of the main events at Cadillac was
the turning of 765 and 1225 on the wye.
A crew was put to greasing the outside
rail. With everyone keeping a careful eye
for a derailment, the two engines care
fully moved on the two legs of the wye.
1225 is shown here standing on the tail.
765 is slowing backing on the west leg of
the wye.
Before leaving Cadillac we made a stop
in the north end of town to photograph
the engine house of the Great Lakes
Central.
The Great Lakes Central snow plow was
standing in front of the engine house
with the lead truck removed for repair
Steam, coal smoke and cinders in this
scene at Lucus. 1225 was on the point
for the trip back to Alma. They are
preparing for a photo run by.
