| LETTER HOME FROM CAMP - I |
| I wrote this letter home to my folks on the 6th of August 1953. After temporary duty at Narsarssuak Air base in Greenland, I received orders to report to Camp -I at the Shoal Harbour gravel pit in Newfoundland on 19 June 1953. I was assigned to the crew of S/Sgt. Norm Simons which also consisted of Jerome Young, Ben Craft, Eddie George and Emmett Martin. At the date of this letter Camp -I is preparing to move to a new Camp -III, three miles south of Terra Nova. Two crews have already moved to Terra Nova at this date. |
