John on one of his hiking excursions around the hills of Placentia. He mentioned that one of his fondest
memories of Newfoundland was the sound of the running brooks with speckle trout waiting to be caught,
which he took advantage of quite often. These four photos are the courtesy of John Michel.
John Michel took this photograph
from atop his barracks which is
Blg.112. The building in the fore-
ground, Blg.110, was torn down
when the Navy took over
McAndrew to make way for a new
mess hall. The second building on
the left, Blg.108, is the home of 1st.
