COAL  FOR  THE  BOARD  OF  WATER  &  LIGHT
On an early morning just west of Washington Ave. in Lansing, I took these four frames of GP9r
4607 bringing some loaded hoppers of coal to the Board of Water & Light. They had pick up the
hoppers in the east end of town where the abandoned coal bunker is located. A stop was made
on the bridge so the brakeman could throw the turnout to continue on into the yard.
Date, October 16, 1993.

DURAND  TRACK  MOVE
In 1992 the Grand Trunk Western increased the
radius of their connecting track with the Holly sub
at Durand. This would decrease wheel wear and
also speed up transit time on the curve.
Date August 17, 1992.
