Ike sent these four photos that he took on slides. We are at Camp-I located at Goobies, Newfoundland in early summer of1954. The photo on the right shows the main gravel road from Clarenville passing the entrance to Camp-I. The tent on the right is the shower tent.

View of Camp-I at Goobies.

From the left- Dayton Moses, Billy Sharp, and Robert Hosier.

Noon chow at an unknown location. Ike said he is the one laying down with his fatigue top opened. Dayton Moses and I agreed that Fred Rose, the speeder operator, is to the extreme right. We wondered if that was S/Sgt. Tucker standing on the trailer. The airman to the extreme left with his face towards the camera is Christiansen.

One weekend, Ike and a group of airman took a camera tour of the whale harvest. Everyone has their Argus C-3's. In the view on the left is Warrant Officer Fred Throgmorton sitting on the hood of the jeep. He was camp commander at Camp-I at Goobies. Joe Louie, in his "civies," is standing in front. Louie was the camp mechanic. The other two fellows are unknown.

The jeep is sitting just left of center. Joe Louie and another airman are at lower center.

Ike captured LeRoy and Fred our speeder operators in this photo. Fred has his telephone set over his shoulder so he can call the dispatcher for railroad clearance. Our camp huts are in the background. Photo taken at Rantem Wye.

Ike captured this group of airmen at Rantem Wye. From left standing: Dayton Moses, Emmett Martin, ? , William Halfman, Lee Crunk ?, Charles Christiansen, Robert Kuveke, and Alfonso Aranda. The airman sitting in front looks like James Seals.
